Casita de Cake Policy

ORDER & PAYMENT POLICY

  • Policies are strictly enforced. It is the customer’s responsibility to read and understand them. Failure to read our policies does not exempt a customer from them. These policies are in place to protect both the customer and the business.

  • Orders under $50 must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payment is non-refundable.

  • Orders over $50 require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date.

  • The remaining balance is due by noon the day before pickup. Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation or delay. This also allows a smooth, hassle free pick up/delivery.

  • Payment reminders are not sent. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay on time.

  • Payments are not accepted through the website. Please refer to your invoice for accepted payment methods.

  • Cash is not accepted for deposits or remaining balance, but are welcome for gratuity.

  • Orders will not be scheduled until the required payment or deposit is received, please read the terms on your invoice thoroughly.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if an order does not fit our availability or schedule.

  • All invoices and fees are non-negotiable.

  • We are a private micro bakery studio and not open to the public.

SCHEDULING, CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

  • Once an order is scheduled, dates cannot be changed.

  • If an emergency arises, please message us directly. While we may try to accommodate, date changes are not guaranteed.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup are 100% non-refundable and cannot be applied to future orders.

  • If we must cancel your order for any reason, a 100% refund will be issued.

  • Although this is rare, if we cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup, you will also receive 10% off your next order. This discount is valid up to one year from original date.

  • Any discounts given for any given reason are valid up to one year from original date.

  • This policy is subject to change at any time within reason.

PICKUP & DELIVERY

  • Delivery is offered only for weddings or major events.

  • Delivery fees vary based on order size, distance, and setup requirements.

  • Standard delivery is not available for smaller occasions.

  • A retainer fee is required for cake or treat stands and must be returned clean and in original condition. Otherwise retainer may not be reimbursed.

  • Pickup times are not flexible.

    • A 20 minute grace period is offered, thereon on a $15 late fee will be applied prior to receiving your order.

    • Additional delays may increase the fee or result in pickup delays if other orders are scheduled.

  • We cannot guarantee holding your order past the agreed pickup time, rescheduling pickup, or moving it to another date.

  • No refunds will be issued if an order is not picked up during the confirmed pickup window.

TRANSPORTATION & RESPONSIBILITY

  • We provide cake care instructions upon pick up or delivery, once the orders picked up, all responsibility transfers to the customer.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused after pickup, including transportation, storage, or handling.

  • If a third party (friend, family member, Uber, etc.) picks up your order, we are not responsible for its condition.

  • Do not leave your cake in your vehicle, run errands, or expose it to heat or weather conditions.

  • Always plan travel directly from pickup to destination.

  • Keep cake away from hot/humid areas and out of direct sunlight. 

PRICING & CUSTOM ORDERS

  • We do not offer starting prices for custom cakes.

  • Pricing varies based on:

    • Size & number of layers

    • Ingredients & flavors

    • Fillings

    • Design details, toppers, and color variations

    • Quantity (for cupcakes or treats)

  • The order form is required to provide the most accurate quote.

  • Orders require a minimum of two weeks’ notice.

  • Orders with less than 24 hours’ notice cannot be accepted.

  • Limited last-minute orders may be accepted week-to-week but are not guaranteed.

  • Once an order is confirmed, no changes of any kind can be made.

DESIGN & INSPIRATION

  • Exact replicas of another baker’s work cannot be guaranteed due to differences in tools, techniques, materials and experience.

  • We will do our best to recreate the design while maintaining our own style.

  • Please note that some inspiration photos may be AI-generated or heavily edited, which may not be realistic for recreation and we highly do not recommend submitting them as an inspo pic.

ALLERGIES & DIETARY INFORMATION

  • Customers are responsible for informing us of all allergies or dietary restrictions when placing an order. This may either be an allergy of your own or for whom the cake is for and guests.

  • We do our best to accommodate some allergies; however, our kitchen is not nut-free. Products may contain or come into contact with gluten, nuts, and dairy.

CARE & STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cake cutting instructions will be provided with your order.

  • Orders containing any dairy would need to be refrigerated immediately  until 30–60 minutes before serving.

  • Orders with whipped icing must be kept refrigerated at all times

  • In warm weather, store cakes in the refrigerator as soon as possible.

  • Do not leave cakes outdoors or on display for extended periods in heat/humidity.

  • Display cakes shortly before serving or cutting.

  • We do not recommend freezing cakes before events due to condensation and temperature changes.You may refrigerate or freeze any left overs in a tight sealed container.​​

  • Avoid driving with cakes longer than 1–2 hours, especially in summer.

  • Transport cakes flat and secure (vehicle floor or trunk recommended).

  • Always carry cakes from the bottom, never from the sides.
